Collateral Protection Insurance

Your loan agreement requires you to provide insurance coverage on the collateral you have financed with Alabama Credit Union.

Perhaps you've renewed your insurance but still received a notice stating that Alabama Credit Union hasn't received proof of your insurance coverage. That sometimes happens when the borrower's/insured names differ, when a vehicle identification number is incorrect, or other technical details don't fit our insurance company's definition of "proof of good insurance." Here's what you need to know about collateral protection.

Credit Disability Insurance: Payment Protection

In the event you become totally disabled by sickness or an accident, credit disability insurance pays your loan payments up to the policy maximum. The premium for this service is added to your regular loan payments. For full policy details, ask a credit union representative.

Many insurance products made available through Alabama Credit Union are provided by the companies of the CUNA Mutual Group.

Products are underwritten by CUNA Mutual Insurance Society, a member company of the CUNA Mutual Group.

Credit Life Insurance: Payment Protection

For a low monthly fee added to your loan, credit life insurance pays the insured balance of your loan, up to the policy maximum, in the event of your death. This ensures your family will not be left with your loan debt. Ask your loan officer for details on your next visit.
