Hillcrest office designated the James G. Lankford Member Center
Alabama Credit Union held grand opening festivities for its newest office in the fast-growing Hwy. 69 area south of Tuscaloosa.
A ribbon-cutting, reception and promotion that encouraged members and area residents to “Strike Gold at Alabama Credit Union” was well-attended, according to President Stephen K. Swofford, and resulted in the awarding of various gold-rush themed prizes, as well as an expenses-paid trip to San Francisco. “Our new building reflects the growing needs of our members in the Hillcrest area of Tuscaloosa,” he said. “We upgraded our former express office at Jason's Parade by building a spacious facility that contains drive-ups and drive-up ATM, safe deposit boxes, and spacious loan and teller areas.”
An announcement by Alabama Credit Union Chairperson Lynne S. April surprised former president James G. Lankford; the new facility is named in honor of Lankford and his 40-year tenure at Alabama Credit Union.
