ALABAMA CREDIT UNION TO EXPAND SERVICES IN SOUTH BALDWIN AREA
Foley, Alabama, November 14, 2005 –
Alabama Credit Union, in response to phenomenal growth in the South Baldwin Area, announced plans today to replace its current temporary office with a new branch office on Highway 59 in downtown Foley. The new facility is expected to open in early 2006, according to credit union officials.
“The residents of Foley and Orange Beach have enthusiastically welcomed us into the community, and more than 3,000 members and their families have trusted us with their financial business,” said Steve Swofford, president of Alabama Credit Union. “We deeply appreciate their patience and cooperation as we grew into the need for larger office space, and are looking forward to improving our ability to provide convenient, private, and personal service to residents of the South Baldwin area.”
The new full-service branch will feature a member service desk, 3 teller stations, safe deposit boxes, 3 drive-up lanes and an ATM.
Branch Manager Elizabeth Cole is excited to move into the new facility and eager to offer residents a more personalized brand of financial services.
“We’re an especially appealing choice for those desiring convenient locations, money-saving products, and personal service ... the kind where members are appreciated and respected as owners of the credit union,” Cole said. “Our selection by more than 3,000 families confirms that we’re quickly becoming Baldwin County’s Credit Union.”
Design Build Concepts (DBC) of Atlanta, which specializes in the design and construction management of financial facilities, was selected to provide architecture, interior design and full-time, on-site construction management for the main office project. DBC has served the financial community since 1975 and has completed more than 500 financial facility programs. Through a competitive bid process, local sub-contractors and local suppliers will provide the labor and building materials, keeping construction dollars in the community.
