Mortgage Loan Process

  2. Calculate your mortgage costs
  3. Choose the product that best suits your needs. Phone us at (888) 817-2002 to discuss current pricing, closing costs, and more.
  4. Obtain an Early Disclosure Package. It will detail the product you've selected, and explain all related costs.
  5. Provide Alabama Credit Union with a copy of:
    » Deed to property
    » Last two years' tax returns and current pay stub, or two years' tax returns if self-employed
    » Recent tax appraisal
    » 30-day payoff letter if you are refinancing an existing mortgage with another lender, or sales contract if you are purchasing a home
  6. Tell us when you need the funds from your loan, so that we can set up a closing for you.
  7. Choose a convenient method for making your monthly payment:
    » Via your free ACUiBranch account (and you can make future HELOC loan advances via ACUiBranch, too);
    » By automatic transfer from your deposit account (we'll set this up for you);
    » By mail;
    » By phone;
  8. Provide us with proof of homeowner's insurance, listing us as mortgage holder, as follows: Alabama Credit Union, P. O. Box 862998, Tuscaloosa, AL 35486.
  9. Attend the closing to sign the documents, and you're good to go!

Second Mortgage Loan Process

Our low-cost Second Mortgage loan permits you to borrow up to 100% of your home's equity, and take up to 10 years to repay. Here's how to get started:

  1. Apply online , or phone us at (888) 817-2002.
  2. Provide Alabama Credit Union with a copy of:
    » Deed to property
    » Last two years' tax returns and current pay stub, or two years' tax returns if self-employed
    » Recent tax appraisal
  3. Tell us when you need the funds from your loan, so that we can set up an in-office closing for you.
  4. Choose a convenient method for making your monthly payment:
    » Via your free ACUiBranch® account
    » By automatic transfer from your deposit account (we'll set this up for you)
    » By mail
    » By phone
  5. Provide us with proof of homeowner's insurance, listing us as mortgage holder, as follows: Alabama Credit Union, P. O. Box 862998, Tuscaloosa, AL 35486.
  6. Sign the documents, and you're good to go!
