After your account is opened, you may conduct account transactions, view account histories, schedule transfers, request stop payments, send secure email messages and much more — all free of charge. And, you may sign up for Bill-Pay, a convenient and cost-effective way to send payments to merchants or payees for only $4.95 per month... and the first six months' usage is free!

New users who have direct deposit to their ACU checking account qualify for free Bill-Pay, a savings of $4.95 per month -- and it eliminates the need for envelopes and stamps.

Access the secure ACUiBranch® by typing your Access ID and Passcode in the boxes located at the top of each page of our Web site. But first, here’s what you need to know:

It’s safe. “We have taken every security precaution to select vendors and technology systems that keep your account information confidential, and I am confident we have accomplished that,” said Steve Swofford, president of Alabama Credit Union. “When you sign up for ACUiBranch®, you’ll see the many layers of security involved — for example, it often takes several attempts to set up your pass code and user identification because the ACUiBranch® system requires that pass codes be extremely difficult for unauthorized users to ‘guess.’”

It’s easy to use. The best way to learn about ACUiBranch® is to use it. Explore it with confidence — even if you transfer funds and want to reverse the transaction, you simply need to create a new transfer.

It’s free. You pay nothing for ACUiBranch® access.

Electronic Bill-Pay — free for first six months!

Tired of writing checks and purchasing postage stamps to pay bills? Now, you can handle that online, too. Bill-Pay allows you to specify companies, merchants — even individuals! — to receive one or more payments from you, whether paper or electronic. You can specify when the bill should be paid, the amount, whether the payment should occur on a specified frequency, and much more. And, you’ll have a record of the payment both in the ACUiBranch® system and on your account statement. Bill-Pay is an optional service available with ACUiBranch®; you may conduct as many Bill-Pay transactions as you wish for only $4.95 per month -- and if you use direct deposit to your checking account and you subscribe now, Bill-Pay is free! You may also download Bill-Pay information into Quicken® or Microsoft Money®. Bill-Pay account transactions are subject to other fees (such as insufficient funds fee) as shown on our Fee Schedule.

A tip: If relying upon your overdraft protection line of credit loan to provide funds for Bill-Pay transactions, you will need to use ACUiBranc to create a loan advance from the overdraft protection line of credit (usually suffix 19) to deposit to your checking account (usually suffix 50). At this time, Bill-Pay transactions will not automatically activate the overdraft protection line of credit. Such loan advances are subject to your Loanliner® Credit Agreement with Alabama Credit Union.

 

How to sign up
Online! Now you're ready to log in (log in box at top of every Web page) and follow the instructions to sign up for ACUiBranch® and Bill-Pay.

Be sure to include all of the accounts you own for which you want ACUiBranch® access. Once you’ve completed the online ACUiBranch® application, instructions and your Access ID will be mailed to your account address in approximately one week. (This process is part of our ACUiBranch® security procedures.) After you have received your ACUiBranch® confirmation, if you would like to add other accounts you own to your ACUiBranch® account, please contact our ACUiBranch® department at (205) 348-5944 or (888) 817-2002 or use the ACUiBranch® system to send a secure e-mail to us.
